Between sensuality and power – Madeleine Christin Leroy’s work is about the investigation of associative levels of meaning of objects.
The materials she chooses lie in a fictional zone of meaning between the banality of the everyday, power and eroticism. Different archetypes of symbolic shapes, surfaces and colours are redefined and combined. This results in objects and installations that locate their irritation between materiality, alienation, and the subjective erotic and sexual sensations of the individual.
